Attention Player and Parents. Erie FC is looking for feedback on your experience playing with our club. We are interested in your opinion of our training sessions, professionalism, coaching staff, individual coaches, over all program and any other information you see fit to share with us. We are also looking to publish some positive quotes on our site for the public to view, so they can hear from you the parent or player on your experiance with an Erie FC coach or the club in general. Please e-mail all quotes to Jim Toth.
We have two daughters that have played for Erie for almost 2 years. They have both grown in their soccer development tremendously. Abby is a freshman and played on the varsity high school at Amherst this year ( and actually had quite a bit of playing time.) Alex an 8th grader is also hoping to make the varsity team next year, (she has a good chance if she keeps the training up with Erie.) Both girls plan on playing college soccer and they are well on their way. Jim is a fantastic coach, he knows the game and how to teach it. Our girls enthusiasm for the game has never been better and that has alot to do with Jim and the other Erie coaches. Abby's own feelings on Erie, "I used to be a mediocre soccer player and now I can say I'm sweet. Jim is the best coach I've ever had. No one has been able to teach me as much in any sport." Alex says, "It's a great learning experience and Jim is a nice coach and he knows what he's talking about. I'm very lucky to have him as a coach." As you can tell, they both think the world of Jim and Erie Futbol. Thank you Jim and all the other Erie coaches and trainers.
We can't say enough about the commitment, training and coaching provided for our son Bryce by this club. Over the past year, we have watched him improve both his physical skill level and his understanding of the game, as well as his confidence on the field. EFC has put together a great group of young people who play on his U-14 team. They are nice kids who love soccer and truly like each other. The camaraderie along with the physical and mental challenge have turned our son into a premier soccer player. We are excited to be part of this organization.

I have been playing for Jim Toth since 2003. Jim started training me while I was a freshman in high school and taught me just about everything I needed to know about becoming a collegiate level soccer player. I am now a freshman at Baldwin Wallace College and play for the Yellow Jackets' soccer team. Over the summer I worked with Jim to prepare myself to compete at the college level. I trained with him for two hours a day, three days a week. Jim would start off each session with a friendly conversation and objectives for the day establishing a positive relationship. Jim used a variety of training aids such as ladders, hurdles, cones, poles, weights, and training balls throughout the workout so nothing ever got old. His approach made each exercise interesting and fun as well as challenging. Jim knows how to push you to the point where you feel every muscle in your body is being worked. He puts you through a course that will make you stronger but not wear out your muscles completely. He would always make sure I stretched and had a good cool down so that my body wouldn’t be unbearably sore the next day. After each training sessions I felt well worked and good about myself. Jim will do anything for his clients. He works around their schedule, stays late if you need extra practice or training, and pretty much bases his days off on his clients' needs. He designs a program that will best train you for your individual goals. Jim tailor designed a fitness program for me using elements of Baldwin Wallace's suggested summer training program and what he knew would be most beneficial to me knowing my individual strengths and weaknesses. The personalized workout was based on my baseline level of fitness and the level I needed to reach before starting college soccer. He gauged my workout schedule to progress so that I was at my peak level of fitness for Baldwin Wallace's training camp. By the time preseason training camp came arrived, I was in the best shape of my life. As proof to Jim's training methods I even finished first in Baldwin Wallace's Beep Soccer Fitness Test. During our training sessions not only did we work on fitness, but Jim recognized my weaknesses on the soccer field and pinpointed them for improvement. Another example of Jim's interest and dedication to his clients is that when I had trouble finding the right soccer shoes, he personally took me to Front Line and helped me pick out the best shoe for my style of play and position. I owe a lot of my success to Jim for getting me to the skill and fitness level I am today. After each week of training I felt myself becoming stronger, more agile, and more confident in myself as a collegiate athlete. Jim taught me that with hard work and determination, you can do anything you set your mind too. If you’re looking for a good workout and a wonderful relationship with your trainer, then Jim Toth is the perfect trainer for you.

Erie FC has been a great experience for both my daughters. I have seen a great improvement with them. My 14 year old has been playing for the club for the last 3years. Both my girls enjoy the friends they have made and playing for Coach Jim. Thanks for the experience.

My daughter Julie has been with Erie futbol club for over three years. For the first two years she was coached by a wonderful coach that she learned much from, but each year we both hoped that she would get the opportunity to work with coach Jim Toth on a more regular basis. When she would have time on the practice field with coach Jim she would always come home and be psyched about a new move that she had learned and her love and dedication for the game of soccer would be in high gear again. This past Spring Coach Jim took over being the head coach for Julies U13 team and the changes in Julie as well as the whole team are tremendous. They are flowing as a team and learning on such a fast rate that it leads me to believe that Coach Jim is the variable that this team needed. Jim takes the time with the girls teaching them aspects of the game from all positions. Julie has always loved to play the game of soccer and she always played it well, but now working with coach Jim i see her confidence and skills going through the roof. Thanks Jim. ---Amy Bennett ( Julie Lacocks mom)
Dear Erie FC Coaches:
I am writing to thank you for the tremendous
coaching you have done for my daughter. Stephanie.
Her game has improved exponentially since she
has joined your club. She has always enjoyed
soccer, but now she has a drive that I’ve never
seen before.
Thank You!
Carolyn Hamm
I have to tell you I am very impressed with your program. My Daughter (Rachel Lusher) has been on 2 other premier teams. I am not a soccer guru by any means, but I am very perceptive and tend to pay a lot of attention to details, so here's my input. The Families are probably the most helpful by far compared to all the teams Rachel has played for, the coaches are very knowledgeable, professional and sincere, spending the time needed with the players to help them improve and grow. You see, Erie Futball is creating a desire, the desire is people wanting to play for them because the coaches and teams to so well, they play as a team and win as a team. (Ps) Jim needs to teach his foot skills to all of the teams, this would enhance their abilities greatly. Thank-you!
Dan Lusher
My Name is Suzy Lusher and my daughter Rachel is on Jim Toth's U-14 team. She has been with Erie for about two years now and her game and skills have improved tremendously since she has joined. Not to mention she loves being part of the club and the team and so do I. Jim is tough, but sometimes this is what the girls need to push them a little bit harder and give them the drive to want to get better and learn more. Thanks Jim for being such a great coach and mentor for Rachel!!!

My daughter Stacie has had such a positive experience playing for Erie Futbol Club these last couple of years. The coaches, staff and the girls are friendly and a joy for her to play ball with. Her ability and confidence have skyrocketed since joining Erie. I being a parent also enjoy the friendliness of the staff. The club is willing to work with any situation that may arise. I have been involved with another club, and by far Erie is the one for us. Thank You Erie.
Debbie Young U-13 girls
My daughter had played with another club and was very turned off on the whole premier scene. Thank you for bringing her back around and having her enjoy soccer again. She really enjoys playing with the Erie girls and has learned a great deal from the club.
Thanks again for getting my soccer player back on track.
Stephanie Bowman
I just want to thank Jim and Jim Sr. that coached the girls last year for everything they have done for Morgan. She has definitely grown in her soccer abilities. You have been great coaches and given her added confidence and skills to further her abilities. She likes being able to help out on the boys team and I believe it has made her a better player. Overall, our experience with Erie FC has been great. Thanks and looking forward to continued success.

"We have been wanting to write about how much we enjoy the Erie Futbol Club. We like the fact that winning is not everything in the club. It's nice if it happens but if it doesn't then the day is looked at as a learning experience. We have never heard a coach yell at or belittle the players, but have seen the parents get a reminder that the game is for fun at this young age (U9) and that we should just let them do their best. Our son has responded so well to the coaching and teaching that he has received since we joined the club and we look forward to many more years with the Erie Futbol Club."

Our daughter Rachel has been playing with Erie FC for four years now. Jim Jr. has been her coach much of that time. He has always been willing to take the time necessary to help any of his players master a skill he is teaching them. He has taught Rachel wonderful footskills and tactics in this time. She has not only had the opportunity to train under him as her coach, but has taken other footskill/agility programs that he has offered, along with one on one training as well. We have had more than one person over the years ask where she learned her footskills and we ALWAYS give Jim Jr. the credit. Not only does he teach the skills of soccer, but he instills the love and desire of the game. He is not only a great coach, but a wonderful mentor, and we tell everyone we know that plays that if they want their child to learn great skills that Jim is the way to go!!

Both my Sons now play for Erie FC.
My oldest son started playing last year on the U14 Boys Team with Coach Greg. Under his leadership and training, the team developed into a highly competitive team. He related to the boys and motivated them. They never quite on he field even when we struggled. A great coach and motivator. Now the Erie FC U16 boys are being coached my Coach Mike. I'm very impressed with his soccer knowledge, both technically and tactically. My son Taylor (GK) thinks he is one of the best coaches he has ever had. Coach Mike has makes excellent game adjustments. So far this year, the boys have played better in the second half of every game. It is due to his ability to recognize the weakness of the other team and then use our players strength to take advantage of them. It amazing what he has been able to to with them in such a short time. I cannot wait until we get outside on the full field.
My younger son, just started playing on the U12 team. Once we realized that Coach Greg was the coach, he immediately wanted to play for him having watched his brother play for him last season. Again Coach Greg is excellent role model for the young men. Watching him work with them in practice and during foot skills you can see how excellent of a teacher and mentor his is. His is an excellent coach, teacher, motivator and role model for the young men.
I am very pleased with the soccer coaching at Erie FC. As you know there are many choices in playing primer club soccer in our area. It is a very competitive business, so when you are paying your hard earned dollar you want your children to have good coaches, parents, players, etc. so they can develop into the best player they can be. Therefore, based on the level of coaching that Erie has provided, we have no desire to play for anyone else. My boys admire all the coaches and cannot wait until the next practice, game or tournament. We love Erie FC.
Thanks,

During this evening's game I had the opportunity to be the out of bounds flag person for the side where the teams sit. I was amazed by the coaching that I saw on that sideline! The coach was so positive and very generous with praise to the girls. When he wanted to address something that he wished the player would havedone differently, he made sure that he had their attention and explained what he would have liked to seen. I overheard him many times review things with the girls when they came to the sidelines for a break and then saw them change their behavior when they went back on the field. I appreciate the fact that I got to experience this first hand even though initially I cringed when Molly asked me to do the flag. Now I think that maybe all the parents should have that opportunity. I have always been proud to say that my kids play for Erie Futbol Club and this was just another reason why. Thank you Coach Scott for the patience that you show to the girls. I can see a difference in Molly already.

I would like to share with you my experiences with the Erie Futbol Club. I now have both a son and daughter playing for Erie. The growth I have seen in each of them in regards to the way they play the game of soccer amazes me. They have a much better grasp of how the game is played and the reason their coaches ask them to do the things that they do both in practice and in game situations. I see each of them reading the field much better and anticipating what is going to happen before it does happen, making them much quicker to react to any situation that arises. Their confidence has grown right along with their skills. Both have worked with Jim Jr. along with several other coaches in the organization and have come away from each experience with each coach with yet more knowledge, skill and confidence in themselves and in their game. Picking Erie FC for our club soccer experience was definitely the best choice we could have made! Thank you so much to the entire staff at Erie!

Hey Jim,
My son Brandon plays on the U14 boys team. He has grown so much in almost a year that he has been with Erie. His confidence level has sky rocketed because of the coaches and training that he has received from this program. I believe that he has turned into a much better athlete and person because of his experience with this club. He at this time can not get enough soccer and is looking forward into growing more as a better player as he continues to play with Erie. Thank you very much for all that you and your staff do to better these players.
Sincerley,
Stefanie Smith
The Erie soccer program has great coaches and provides players with lots of game experience. Jim Toth and Jim Walchanowicz both take the time to develop great rapport with their players. This is why both my high school boys like Erie Futball Club.

"When I had my first practice with Erie, I was immediatly motivated to become a better soccer player. I was inspired by Jim Toth's passion for the game and his incredible ability to coach our team. He has had a big impact on alot of us as players and has given me a new appreciation for the game as well as a more positive attitude. He is dedicated to working hard for our team goals and our individual ones, too."

We have been so pleased with the opportunity our daughter has had to play with Erie FC. After talking with several clubs and parents this past summer, our daughter chose Erie FC. It didn't take long before she knew she had made the right choice! Erie provides a positive coaching environment and a group of very committed girls. She continues to improve and we look forward to watching the team grow and develop.

We are enjoying our new coach Michael Adams for the U15-16 boys.
He is very personable and easy to approach. He has taken time to chat with us and get to know us, and we, in turn, have been able to get to know him a little better as well. On the field, he has been patient, positive and consistent with the boys. He seems to have a good strategic approach for soccer. We are seeing the team make progress and be more effective in shifting players forward and back and moving into open space to receive the ball. We like that he is vocal during games, always encouraging and instructing. Our "lads" seem to be responding well to his coaching style. We think Michael Adams has been a great addition to the EFC coaching staff.

Would like to say "Thank You" to Jim Jr.!! My daughter Taylor has really enjoyed being a part of his team this past season, and is somewhat kicking herself for not trying out and joining sooner. She said he is an amazing coach! And of course she's eager to learn all she can in the box. But I was so happy to hear her positive comments. So whatever Erie is doing, THANK YOU... and please continue doing it!!

"Mike Cracas helped me achieve the skills necessary to receive a division I soccer scholarship to one of my top choices for universities. His training methods and motivational techniques pushed me further and higher than I expected. I left high school with a thorough knowledge in not just how to correctly catch a soccer ball, but in how to read the game and adapt to any situation. He knows how to reach each athlete as an individual and he tailors his teaching techniques to help strengthen their weaknesses and continually improve their strengths"

My son, Zachary has been with Erie Futbol for approximately a year now, after years of recreation leagues, teams and another travel team. He has participated in ODP, making the state team his first session as well as making the team for Germany/Holland. He has three years as ballboy with the Huron High School team as well as two years as a player on the team. These are experiences he will always have and hopefully use. He is so happy having joined the EFC. He truely likes the coaching and has gained many new friends from different areas. He's always eager for practice, games and tournaments. I think he's finally found his place to play the game he loves so dearly. Thank you to the coaching staff, management staff and parents for making him feel "at home".

“Mike Cracas helped me become a more confident goalkeeper mentally and physically. His hard training and conditioning sessions really help me develop and take my game to the next level. I play college soccer at Mount Union and his training techniques helped me a lot at this high level of play. He really helped me to relax, not think too much and be confident in my abilities. He taught how to read the game and be confident in every situation. He knows how to teach athletes at any level and can help strengthen your game tremendously.”

Coach Jim
I’m so glad that I tried out for Erie Futbul Club! You have turned me into the soccer player I have always dreamed of being. Each time I step onto that field, I learn something from you. You have given me the courage to try things, improved my footskills, treated me as part of the team from day one and you have showed me how to believe in myself. I feel that I’m becoming a better goalie because of you. I feel very privileged to be on part of this Club. Thanks for helping me reach my “Goals”.

This coaches shout out goes to coach Greg or should we say "Coach Bob"!! This
is our sons first season with Erie and we already see a difference in him. Not only has his foot skills improved, but his devotion to the sport has changed!! Michael looks forward to practice every Tuesday to see what coach Greg will teach them that day! Greg is not only a great coach to them, he is like one of them!! Greg laughs with them, jokes with them, which makes the training fun for them! He is the kind of coach every parent should be lucky to have train their child. Thank you coach Greg!

I am writing not about one Erie Futbol coach in particular but the entire coaching staff as a whole. Every single coach is willing to answer any questions that the players or the parents have and go above and beyond to teach the kids the true game of soccer. Their love for the game truly shows in their dedication to the club itself and to the players as individuals. Both my children have received compliments, coaching tips, congratulations, etc. from Erie coaches that may not be their individual coach but who were at a game they played in either for Erie or for their high school. Whenever we have run into a coach at a game, they are always willing to stop and chat and discuss the aspects of the game just played. It certainly makes for a "soccer family" feeling. Thanks to all of you who have enriched our soccer lives!

Coach Jim,
Since i didnt get a chance to say Thanks for a sweet indoor and spring season at the end of the tourny, I figured i would just drop you a quick e-mail. I just wanted to say that it was alot of fun, and I really liked the team and playing for your club. All the coaches I met and got to talk to were really nice, and gave me alot of good tips. Honestly, you are the best coach ive ever had, and you and Mike are the first two coaches who think I am actually good and can make it to college. Im really excited for next season with the club. Thanks for talking with me about my upcoming highschool season, and all your help with what I should do, and with different college things. Well as you heard I am probably playing now for my highschool, which is a good thing!! Thanks again.

I have been personal training with Jim Toth for a short amount of time, but I plan to train with him for much longer. He has improved my speed, strength, and ability to play soccer at a high level. He is a phenomenal trainer, and coach because he truly cares about you, and has your best interest at heart. While I was practicing I found it easy to trust him and be honest, which I think is important. The exercises are always extremely fun and helpful. He treats his job very seriously and was always prepared for the lession. Durining the practices, he was energetic and motivating, always encouraging me to reach my maximum performance. He was also, always keeping me focused so I would not get hurt. When I first started out with him, I wasn't very good at most of the exercises but he was exceptionally patient with me, and I became much better at the workouts. When I would have a question he would always have an answer for me and was good at explaining. He knew how to push me to the point that I felt my muscles workout, but not strained. All of the conditioning that he planed was different so I would work out all the muscles in my body. His knowledge, wisdom and understanding for fitness and soccer has driven me to become a confident, stronger, and determined soccer player. Jim Toth is an exceptional trainer, and I would recommend him to any soccer player looking to become the best they can be.

This past year we have really enjoyed belonging to Erie Futbol Club. Not only is our daughter excelling being the best player she can be but we truly feel that EFC is above the rest when it comes to training, communication and coaching. The encouragement and confidence building skills that the coaches at EFC demonstrate are 100% pure class. Thanks.

"Mike Cracas has been working with me on a one-on-one basis for three months now. I started my soccer career as a striker and recently I've switched to goalkeeper. Mike's challenging program has helped me with the change of perspective I need and has helped raise my confidence in my goalkeeping abilities. I now feel well-prepared for this year's high school season."

Our son enjoys his experiences as a member of the Erie FC U-14 team. He enjoys the competitiveness and the friendships he has made. His teammates challenge him to be a better player and Coach Greg shows him that soccer is not just about the footskills but there is a real strategy to the game. Seeking out teammates in open spaces to make the passes to is even more important. Quick two touches on the ball, give and go strategy and the SLAM to the back of the net is what is fun to perfect as a player and to watch as a parent.

This is our first year our daughter Meliah has played with Erie FC on the U12 girls. So far, I have been very pleased with what I seen in the training sessions, and I have seen improvement in her game play. I know Meliah looks forward to going practice and playing ball with Erie team, and to me that's very important. Jim does a very nice job wkng with the kids. Thanks

My boys love coach Bob (Greg). He jokes around and makes practice fun. Erik and Graham enjoy the games he plays during practice, especially the pass, send and kick game. They also enjoy it when he has the boys scrimmage each other. The boys also feel that he gives every boy fair playing time and that he gives them nice compliments.
I like his positive attitude and energy. I have watched him practice goalie with both of my boys and he really challenges them. He also pushes the boys during the games and is really in tune with what they are doing, giving them instruction that is relevant at the time. He also pushes them to more aggressive players.
We are completely pleased with everything that Greg does. He has really helped our boys improve their game and enjoy playing soccer.

"From a young age I had the opportunity to be coached by Jim Toth. Not only did he put forth the effort to develope my soccer skills but he was also able to teach tactics and mental strenght needed to play at a high level of soccer. Having played and trained with other clubs, the exercises and training programs Jim and his coaching staff put together, far exceed that of any of the teams I have played with. They put together a program which will improve, enhance, and strengthen not only footskills and ball skills, but also a players physical and mental strength, speed, and agility. Playing for and working with the coaching staff it is clear of their extreme love of the game and their incredible ability and desire to pass on their knowledge and love of the game to their players. Jim has always been willing to go the extra mile to help myself and the rest of his players develope their skills. Without his time and dedication I would have never been able to play soccer at a high level, be recognized by my high school conference, or recieve recognition and offers from colleges and universities."
